Radar Composite

The COMPOSITE radar image, or combined radar image, shows the actual 24-hour accumulated rainfall (unit: millimeters/day). It is generated by processing weather radar data from multiple stations to provide wider area coverage, using the Maximum Value Composite method to select the highest reflectivity value at each point in order to represent the intensity of rainfall cells. HII has applied bias correction to this data using actual rainfall measurements from Automated telemetry weather stations to produce rainfall information that is as accurate and consistent with real conditions as possible.
