This map is designed to monitor flood situations in risk areas and to access necessary data for flood analysis.

3. Bangkok Flood Situation Monitoring System
Flash Flood Warning System
A system used to assess and forecast flash flood risk areas within the next 24 hours, using data overlay techniques of 3 types:
1. Flash Flood Potential Index (FFPI Index)
2. Antecedent Moisture Condition (AMC Class)
3. Forecasted Rainfall Data (WRF-ROMS)
The system processes data daily to identify risk areas at the sub-district level, displaying results in map, table, and situation summary graph formats, enabling relevant agencies and the public to monitor and prepare in a timely manner.
Flood Forecasting System
An automated system operating on a Decision Support System (DSS) Platform, used to forecast runoff volume and water levels in major river basins of Thailand up to 7 days in advance, using 2 main model types:
1. Meteorological Model (NAM Model)
2. Hydrodynamic Model (MIKE 11 HD Model)
The system covers major river basins including the Chao Phraya, Chi-Mun, Eastern, and Southern river basins, encompassing over 36 million rai of irrigated area and covering 77% of Thailand. It also applies Data Assimilation (DA) techniques to improve forecast accuracy, using data from 91 monitoring stations nationwide.
Bangkok Flood Situation Monitoring System
A real-time monitoring system for heavy rainfall and flood areas in Bangkok. The system alerts about roads likely to experience flooding that may affect traffic conditions, and monitors canal water levels expected to overflow their banks, enabling residents to prepare in advance. It also assists officials in making timely and targeted decisions, as the system displays detailed incident information such as coordinates of problem locations and real-time images of the situation.
